Today, I spent most of the afternoon working on a custom spreadsheet for tracking gig work. All of us here at home are involved in some form of gig work, and I thought a proper tracking sheet would be a great idea.
My cousin, Mark, is the one who gave me the idea. Then, I went to my favorite AI, Grok, and started a chat for assistance. Grok was very helpful. It's quite impressive how easy things become when using AI with the right prompting.
Grok helped me figure out all the specific formulas I wanted for my sheet. Because I was very specific about what I wanted and how I wanted the output, I was able to copy/paste the formulas into each cell and voila—a working spreadsheet.
Now, everyone here has an efficient way to track gig work. AI is just a tool. The power is in knowing how to use it. I highly recommend spending some time learning how to write effective AI prompts. It's easier than you might think.
